Selected Topics in Coastal Environments

Selected Topics is a continuation of the basic course in coastal processes, which is given in the Department of Maritime Civilizations at the University of Haifa. The aim of this course is to provide a deeper understanding of the coastal environment while taking on real-life problems such as coastal construction and beach restoration. With the gradual continuing increase in sea levels, coastal areas are becoming more at risk for erosion and cliff collapse. An in-depth understanding of man's influence and ways of mitigating damage has become essential.
